The Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers Nominations and Elections Committee is calling for nominations for service on the ACOPNE Board of Trustees for 2020-2023.

We ask and encourage you to nominate yourself or a fellow Diplomate for the seats of Board of Trustee At-Large. 

The Nominations and Elections Committee hopes to attract a slate of highly qualified candidates that are representative of a broad range of geographic, professional and demographic diversity. 

The Board of Trustees will have three vacant seats to fill for 3-year terms beginning this fall 2020.

The ACOPNE Board of Trustees govern the affairs, activities, and business of the Academy in accordance with the laws under which the Academy is organized. The Board of Trustees have fiduciary and strategic responsibilities to: focus on continuous strategic planning; determine desired outcomes; develop and approve appropriate policies, rules, and operating procedures; guide operations; monitor the Academy’s work toward meeting its objectives; monitor and manage the financial transactions of the Academy; adopt positions on issues on professional practice.

In terms of time commitment, the ACOPNE Board convenes on a conference call monthly. Nominations deadline is September 30.
