Federal Highway Administration Recognizes Diplomate Coastal Engineer Board Certification |
The Federal Highway Administration has recognized the ACOPNE Diplomate Board Certification for FHWA project management considerations.
The FHWA’s new Hydraulic Engineering Circular No. 25, Highways in the Coastal Environment, 3rd edition, specifically cites the D.CE Board Certification in a sub-section "A board-certified Diplomate, Coastal Engineer can be included on the planning/design team for major coastal planning and engineering projects."
Specifically, the document states:
“The inclusion of a Diplomate, Coastal Engineer (D.CE) on the professional team is encouraged for complex professional projects”.
This is the sixth time the ACOPNE Diplomate Board Certification has been recognized for preferences for engineering projects and personnel.
